All the tests scored very well
Aug. 22nd, 2005 03:13 pmI fixed my nose to ear chain, by using a small sterling silver ring rather than the stud to hold it to the nose. Much more comfortable, and was a success.

Wore new tasselbelt made over the weekend. Nothing fell off. 'Nuther successful test.
Trialed some new headgear, and the extraweight is/was noticable, but well within tolerances. Again, successful test.
The skirt I had to alter: wore it at todays gig and it was perfect. :) A most satisfing day.
I also found out a great use for old hipscarves/shawls not being used for classes. Keito brought in a bird, and it got away from him in our bedroom. Toss muchly mewing kitty out the door, and found said bird. Waited until it was within reach, and tossed the shawl over it, and it acted just like bird netting. Brought it outside and let it go. Keito was most miffed at me.

"test drive"
Aug. 15th, 2005 02:37 pmMy new tribal decoration was a success..90% success. Found out that no matter how sturdy the nose stud is it will slide out. So it will require a 'sleeper' or small ring time earring instead.:) Got 2 different kind on the way home, and exerimented with inserting them, as it's a slightly different method than putting in nose stud. Again, success. :)
Ooo, it worked!
Aug. 15th, 2005 10:08 amI was worried that once I got my contacts in I wouldn't be able to put the nose/ear chain in. I am horribly nearsighted, and when I put my contacts in, anything within a foot of my face blurs. It was interesting how I managed to reinsert nose stud. I had to try to do it today, so I can 'trial' it before any big performances. Have to see if or how much weight/strain it will put on the nose. (shakes head) doesn't seem to be much of a bother.
Also, on a totally different thing: now that my thyroid hormone, and insulin is coming to 'normal' ranges, I have noticed a few things. More energy, the dime sized bald patches on my head (the ones I was faking according to Anne..yeesh) have grown back in, weight loss, and a teenaged complaint. I went through puberty and adolesecence with nary a problem with pimples. Now, I am sprouting em. True only a few, and easily taken care of, but still a new experience for me.
