Listening to the Voices in My Head

Even with this, Katrina Myths Debunked, people are totally ignoring or forgetting (selective amnesia) how the Bush Admin has majorly screwed up. HOW can people believe Bush and FAUX News about anything?

Independent sources prove that Shrub and FAUX lied through their collective teeth. Shrub, Chertoff, Brown,  and the entire corporate fatcat chain of events shows just how NOLA was royally f*cked over by the current (mis) Administration. My gods, it's 2004 election year amnesia/stupidity all over again.

I keep seeing this utter lack of compassion, humanity, and total callousness.  Cheney out on a shopping trip for another luxury home for him and his family. That was why he was 'missing' during this misnamed 'relief effort'. Condoleeza Rice buying $1000 pair of shoes, and making store security escort someone out who rightly protested why wasn't she in DC doing something for the "We the People" of Louisianna. Barbara Bush chuckling when she said that the people in the stadium were under priviledged (c'mon you ol' crone, the word is POOR, they never HAD priviledges), so they were doing well.

Bush hemming and hawing, and sounding like the secret trainer in Mysterymen "You will never control your anger, as your anger controls you"... "We will solve this problem, because we are problem solvers."

Many of my Australian friends have pointed out how this disaster has shown what racism and poverty is like in the US, just just how class elitism exists. When I said "Survival of the Richest?" they sadly said "Yes."

The world is watching, and guess what? Bush, Cheney, Chertoff, Brown.. all you guys... you have failed abysmally.  So, whatcha going to do about it?

People are evicing surprise that residents in NOLA are reluctant to leave, even in the face of the current conditions. I'm not surprised in the slightest. These people have very very little to call their own, and even a soggy patch of ground where their house used to be is still, in their hearts, their home. Why should it be surprising that they don't want to lose the last little bit of what was theirs? The thought of being uprooted and sent somewhere completely unfamiliar is terrifying.
