Sep. 14th, 2005 07:47 pmI took advantage of the first clear night I have had in close to 2 weeks, and did some viewing, and when the moon cleared the gumtree, I dragged out the computer and camera.

RegiStax and me
Aug. 10th, 2005 02:32 pmI have/had been having problems with Registax barfing out if I tried to stack any more than 50 images. Considering a 10 seconds avi can produce over 300 FIT files, it makes it a bit difficult to get a good clear stacked image if the program keeps puking.
My inate stubborness and the never say die.. well, I kept at it until I found out why the program kept erroring out. If I selected the files by CTRL A or clicking individually while holding CTRL, the Invalid Floating Point error would happen. But if I selected the first file, and then held shift and page down until I had them all, the program would perform flawlessly. I ended up with a much sharper image than the earlier one I posted. I even left the violet tinge this time.

Jul. 20th, 2005 05:41 pmWell, now I know why my hip was throbbing. You should see the rain clouds overhead. *sigh* And here I managed to make a homemade focal reducer so the 'halo/haze' effect would be diminished, and its all ready to use. *insert adult type of pout here*
