If you sell something, and it's crap, or not quite as you have described, I will say so.

Two different sellers, two different e-markets.

Amazon seller sold a used CD. I had no problem with it being used, as the seller said it was in "very good" condition. It arrived, and the surface was obviously scuffed and scratched. I was able to rip the contents to my music directory, and with audio tools, remove the clicks and hisses. I gave her a 3 star rating. She kept sending me messages, claiming I had buyers remorse, and there was nothing wrong with the CD. The kicker is this: it got tapped by AQIS for having a foreign substance on it, and I took photos of the notice, the bright yellow and black AQIS tape, and the report. Sent them to her. She changed her tune, and said I was expecting too much.

eBay seller. I bought a silicone case for my S7. It arrived, and it was so loose and flaccid, my phone would fall out of it. I emailed the seller, included photos showing how it didn't fit on the phone. He offered me, I kid you not, 50 cents refund. "That is one helluva scam. You sell something for $5, and even with photographic proof showing it's faulty, this is your offer?" I reported him to eBay, and my money was refunded by eBay. I then gave him a neutral feedback rating, stating "Didn't fit phone, phone would fall out. Money refunded". Seller sent me a message, I am presuming is whining about the neutral rating, but tough shit. He was damned lucky he didn't get a negative rating.

Although I sent photos of the damaged Blu Ray case, showed that the postal envelope wasn't folded, bent, spindled, stepped on, and only asked for a small rebate to make up for my having to get a replacement case for it, the seller is still trying to foist it off to poor handling by the Post Office. She said she can't give a refund for items not purchased at her eBay store, and hopes I'll 'understand'. My reply (with photo attachments. I took the paper label/insert out so the damaged parts could be clearly seen.)

No, I don't understand. I'm asking for a rebate due to my receiving damaged goods. Your excuse of Australia Post damaging it doesn't work as the item's shrink wrap was intact. I've worked at DVD and computer stores, and have shrink wrapped items. The wrap wasn't dimpled, warped, stretched which would have indicated the DVD sustained damage AFTER it had been packed. The shrink wrap was the only thing holding it place. There was NO fold, bend, smudge, dirt, footprints or other soft of damage on the postal envelope, AND seeing how far down the back of the case the damage was, had it been stepped on as you claim, the discs would have been damaged and they WEREN'T. But as you wish, you sent damaged goods, and refuse to even give a small rebate to compensate for me having to go out and get a new Blu Ray case.

Seriously. This is the second time in a week that I've opened a parcel, an undamaged parcel, only to find the purchased item was damaged. Seeing as there's no damage on the shipping carton/package, it means the item was packed for shipping, regardless that it was damaged!

My old "5 Million Years To Earth" dvd wouldn't play all the way through, so I ordered the remastered blu ray version. Opened it up, thought that maybe a disc had come loose because I could her something moving. Removed the shrink wrap from it only to have pieces of the disc case shower down. The damned thing was actually damaged before it was shrink wrapped, fer gossakes! I took photos of the damaged case, and sent it to the seller asking why waste my time sending an obviously damaged item?

The good news is the discs themselves weren't damaged. I have ordered a 2 Disc Blu-Ray case, and I will see if the seller of the damaged case blu ray will at least refund me the cost of the case.

Yes, I know that the screen protector sent with the hardshell camera case was 'free gift'. That being said, if you send screen protector for a Sony Cybershot when the item ordered was for a Canon Powershot, don't come off all shocked and shaken when I send you a message that you screwed up. And don't try to say "Well it was free". Yes, and that itty bitty item was what decided me to buy your camera case instead of your competitors.

Eyeforjunk is trying to say that the item was perfect, and $42.50 I had to pay was tax value, or import duty. Uhh no. For one thing, the item was used, and another it was under $200.

Below are the scanned documents from AQIS. The only thing I altered, was my home address.

He has no clue who he is messing with.

For days, I have been looking at something on ebay. I put in a 'max bid' and it has stayed there for days, unchanged. Then, less than 30 mins before end of auction, some newbie comes in and slaps a bid on it. It doesn't pass my max bid but equals it. So I up my max bid to make sure I don't get it sharked out from under me.

I sometimes wonder about shills.

Especially one of the extensions/add-ons called "Scrapbook". It has come in handy for online auctions. I have "Scrapbooked" all of my won auctions, which shows when and with what I paid. Why is this so important?

Short story: Seller T-Dimension12: He had 5 Lumix batteries listed for sale, I bought 2 of them and paid for them immediately through Paypal. Two weeks later, after I queried as to when I could expect them, he emailed me saying they were sorry but they were out of stock. That can happen, but what I found rather underhanded is he filed an Unpaid Claim against me so he could get his sellers' fee returned, which prevented me from giving him negative feedback. I am 100% certain had I given him the justly deserved negative, he would have given a retaliatory one.

I did get a fake apology and my money refunded, but I am so happy I could take a screen cap of the saved page, and email it to the SOB.

And it was good. Made sure to leave enough for [livejournal.com profile] _meegan_ and her tribe. :D

Got two new dance swords. We have been slowly tossing any and everything to do with the old shrew crew, and the swords are (were) on the list of things to get rid of. Managed to score two of them, minimum bid, as no one else had spotted them on Ebay. (gotta love those visitor counters) I did hedge my bet by bidding more than the minimum, as i knew I would be out for the rest of the day, well after the auction was over.

Joined [livejournal.com profile] aikidomayland at the dojo for 'after grading bbq'. Was good, was nice, was yummy. Many well wishers were happy to see me up and about. David was very pleased at my physical progress. Go me. Met kindred astronomy spirit there too.

Yeah yeah, I know the adage "Caveat Emptor", however...

Some mook on ebay had this advertised: "Stargate Atlantis Season 2 Brand New and Sealed Boxset". They weren't for Australia region, but what the hell, I have a multi region DVD players, so that's not an issue. Since we have season 1, figured go ahead and get season 2. I pay them, and await their arrival.

They arrived promptly. How to put this. The box might be from a new set of DVDs, but the ones inside are bootlegged/pirated off the SciFi channel and some other satellite station.

File a complaint with Ebay and Paypal? You betcher sweet ass I did.

I am just so crushed... not.

Sure, it was only $50, but if seller had said the charger plug was glitchy, I probably would have still gotten it. That being said, the seller didn't mention the flaw, and I have her neutral feedback. and I quote: Unit Works. Sync/Charger plug loose on unit, have to rig with elastic to use.

She had snit fit, and gave me retaliatory neutral feedback, even though I paid right away (less than 2 minutes after winning) that had nothing to do with my buying it, but had more to do with her having pissy fit about not disclosing something and getting called on it. Had she listed it with the fault with the plug, and I had gotten it, she would have gotten postitive feedback.

No where in her description does it say the plug is faulty (sorry about the caps, its a direct copy from the page):
ITEM# 9737065062 - TREO HANDSPRING PALM PILOT MODEL 270
THIS DEVICE IS USED FOR DATA ENTRY/ ORDERING & IS TRANSMITS ORDERS VIA THIS UNIT TO ANOTHER COMPUTER FOR INSTANT INVOICING. IT NEEDS NEW SOFTWARE INSTALLED AS IT HAS MY OLD COMPANY INFORMATION ON THERE. IT CAN BE USED A PHONE ALSO. UNFORTUNATELY IT DOES NOT HAVE A CHARGER OR ANY OTHER ACCESSORIES, BUT ANY OPTUS DEALER OR TREO DEALER WILL HAVE THESE. THESE DEVICES ARE USUALLY VERY EXPENSIVE. SO AT THIS PRICE IT IS RARE, SO SNAP UP THIS LITTLE BEAUTY!!

I only accept paypal & money order as form of payment. Please pay within 7 days thank you & happy bidding!!

No where in her description does she mention the plug for the charger being loose or faulty. She didn't fully disclose the items' condition. She should be grateful I didn't leave a scathing negative instead.
